May 26, Thursday - Kal's Knoya Ridge Run - Anchorage TO TOP
Description: Three UPHILL ONLY races on rolling forest trail and alpine singletrack.
8.5K and 4,300' vertical. Limited to 100 participants. Unless race is shortened due to poor conditions, this will be the AMR Grand Prix points race.
The Original: 5.6K and 2900' vertical
The Happy Trail: 2.5K and 1200' vertical
Race Time: 6 p.m.
Registration: Race day registration only.
Directions: Muldoon to Pioneer and park. Walk through gate at Klutina and follow trail to registration.
Permit: a U.S. Army Recreation Access Permit is required to train on course. Go to jber.isportsman.net/Access.aspx

June 4, Saturday - Government Peak Climb - Hatcher Pass TO TOP
Description: UPHILL ONLY, 3 miles, 3500’ vertical
Race Time: 11 a.m., Government Peak Recreation Area

June 19, Sunday - Robert Spurr Memorial Hill Climb (Bird Ridge) - Indian
Description: UPHILL ONLY, 3 miles, 3,400' vertical
Race Time: 10 a.m., Bird Ridge Trailhead. No bib pickup after 9:30 a.m.
Entry: $35. No race day entry . 250 person limit. Family discounts available.
Parking: Use new large lot.
Juniors: 17 & under course goes halfway. Youths 14-17 are allowed to enter the full-course event.
Registration: Beginning at 10 a.m. May 1, registration for a lottery will open at register.chronotrack.com/r/20026.
The lottery registration window will be open for 10 days, beginning at 10 a.m. May 1 and closing at 10 p.m. May 10. There is no advantage to registering for the lottery immediately.
The following qualifiers are guaranteed entry provided they register during the allotted window: Top 10 men and Top 10 women from 2015; Top 3 in each age group from 2015; Top 3 boys and girls from 2015 Junior Race; all past senior and junior champions.
A random lottery will determine the remaining non-qualifier spots; entering the lottery will be free.
The 2016 roster announcement will be May 13. Lottery winners and automatic qualifiers will receive payment instructions by email. They MUST pay for the race by 10 p.m. Sunday, May 22 or will forfeit their spot.
July 4, Monday - Mount Marathon Race - Seward TO TOP
Description: The oldest mountain race in the U.S. goes UP AND DOWN a steep 3,000-foot mountain and is about 3 miles long. Juniors go halfway.
Race Times: Juniors – 9 a.m.; Men – 11 a.m.; Women – 2:30 pm.
Entry: $65 adults/$25 juniors

Description: 14-mile OUT-AND-BACK course with 9,100' vertical gain. Route ascends Lazy Mountain, descends backside of Lazy and climbs Matanuska Peak before returning in reverse.

Shuttle: Begins at 9:30 a.m. at the gravel bar parking area just north of the Knik River Bridge on the Old Glenn Highway (follow the signs). For safety reasons, parking is NOT PERMITTED on Knik River Road. Due to very limited trailhead parking, volunteers may drive to the trailhead but all race participants must take the shuttle.
