May 24, Thursday - Kal's Knoya Ridge Run - Anchorage
Description: UPHILL ONLY. Three race lengths as follows:
Full Monty: For the masochists among us, 8.5K, 4,300' vertical run with finish at the top. Only this long-course option is eligible for Grand Prix points. The Full Monty makes a short excursion over Chugach State Park land and they have limited that usage to 100 participants. Registration will be first come first serve on race morning. We do not anticipate that this limit will be a problem but set your alarm if you are worried about getting a spot. All other races have no entry limit.
The Original: This is the original course used the first 3 years. 5.6 kilometers and 2900' run. As always, a very nice piece of work.
The Happy Trail: Juniors, Seniors, and Hikers: 2.5 kilometers and 1200' vertical run. This is the course the juniors used the first 3 years. Now open to all who just want to enjoy a walk or run in the woods.
Race Time: 6:30 pm
Race day registration only.
Meet 5:30 pm for the 6th annual race – Directions: Muldoon to Pioneer, Pioneer to Klutina. Park along Pioneer. DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAYS. PLEASE CARPOOL. Walk through the gate at Klutina and follow trail to registration.
When parking, please be respectful of neighbors.

Parking: Please use new parking lot – No bib pickup after 9:30 am.
The youth race for participants 17 years old and under will run approximately 1/2 of the mountain. Youths from 14 to 17 may run the full course if they want.
Chip timing will be used for the first time this year.
Registration will begin May 1st and continue until filled.

July 4, Wednesday - Mount Marathon Race, Seward
Mount Marathon Race is the oldest mountain race in the U.S. and will celebrate its 85th running in 2012. It goes UP AND DOWN a steep 3,000-foot mountain.
Entry applications are accepted from January 1 - March 31st at www.seward.com.
August 4, Saturday - Matanuska Peak Challenge - Palmer
Description: 14 miles with 9,100' vertical gain and the same amount of elevation loss. OUT-AND-BACK course. Route ascends Lazy Mountain, descends backside of Lazy and then climbs Matanuska Peak before returning the same way.

August 18, Saturday - Alyeska Classic Mountain Run - Girdwood
Description: UPHILL ONLY 2.2 mile mountain sprint with 2,000-foot elevation gain. Starts on CAT tracks and ascends rest of way on alpine single track. Courtesy tram ride down.

May 15, Tuesday - Turnagain Arm Trail Run - Anchorage
Description: Technical and hilly POINT-TO-POINT trail run. 8-mile race goes from Rainbow Valley Trailhead to Potter Trailhead. 4-mile race goes from McHugh Creek Trailhead to Potter.
Description: POINT-TO-POINT 7 mile mountain run trail run starting in lush forest, ascending 2,000 feet to Gavin Hill ridge, opening up to alpine vistas, traversing rock slides and descending through stunted growth forests.
Registration: Opens Wednesday, May 2 at 7 am. Spots are expected to fill quickly. Registration forms and brochures will be sent via e-mail with instruction for returning.
July 21, Saturday - Crow Pass Crossing - Chugach Mountains
Description: POINT-TO-POINT 24 miles of rough cross-country and mountain trail with glacial river crossing on Crow Pass Trail, Girdwood to Eagle River Nature Center
Meet 6 am – Crow Pass Trailhead
Race Time: 7 am
Entry Fee: $60 – Limited to 130 entrants

Description: 47th annual race, 16.5-mile POINT-TO-POINT course, mostly on trails and gravel roads in historic mining territory. Elevation gain of 1,648 feet and elevation drop of 3,196 feet.
July 27-28, Fri-Sat - Resurrection Pass Ultra Races
Description: 4Low-key, relatively self-supported 50- and 100-mile trail races between Hope and Cooper Landing. 50-miler is POINT-TO-POINT; 100-miler is OUT-AND-BACK.
Description: Scenic and challenging 15.5-mile POINT-TO-POINT trail. Proceeds benefit Cystic Fibrosis. Register early - the 2011 race sold out on May 12.
September 8, Saturday - Alyeska Climbathon - Girdwood
Description: UPHILL ONLY. Climb the North Face of Alyeska Mountain (tram base to tram top) as many times as you can between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm. Most uphill laps wins, complimentary tram ride down.
