May 24, Thursday - Kal's Knoya Ridge Run - Anchorage

  • Description: UPHILL ONLY. Three race lengths as follows:
    • Full Monty: For the masochists among us, 8.5K, 4,300' vertical run with finish at the top.  Only this long-course option is eligible for Grand Prix points. The Full Monty makes a short excursion over Chugach State Park land and they have limited that usage to 100 participants. Registration will be first come first serve on race morning. We do not anticipate that this limit will be a problem but set your alarm if you are worried about getting a spot. All other races have no entry limit.
    • The Original:  This is the original course used the first 3 years. 5.6 kilometers and 2900' run.  As always, a very nice piece of work.
    • The Happy Trail: Juniors, Seniors, and Hikers: 2.5 kilometers and 1200' vertical run. This is the course the juniors used the first 3 years.  Now open to all who just want to enjoy a walk or run in the woods.

  • Race day registration only.
  • Meet 5:30 pm for the 6th annual race – Directions:  Muldoon to Pioneer, Pioneer to Klutina.  Park along Pioneer.  DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAYS.  PLEASE CARPOOL.  Walk through the gate at Klutina and follow trail to registration.
